Lower abdominal exercises for women are an important part of women’s health. While everybody talks about how wonderful it would be to have six pack abs, it is not the only reason to make sure that you work out this part of your body. Having strong abdominal muscles can also improve your health in other ways – for instance, giving you better posture and reducing back strain. Most people do some abdominal exercises – however, the lower abs are often overlooked.

By using one or two effective types of lower abdominal exercises for women, you can make sure that this important muscle group is also getting worked out effectively. Several of the exercises may require more equipment than you have readily available – however, most lower abdominal exercises are easy to do at home and do not require much extra equipment.

Effective Lower Abs Exercises For Beginners

Lying Leg Raises – Lie down on a flat bench. Raise your arms above your head and have your hands hold the edges of the bench or (if you have one) the hand-grip behind your head. With your legs slightly bent at the knee, raise them all the way up to the vertical position. Pause a second and then slowly lower them. Try not to touch the ground at the bottom. This control will keep tension on the abdominals throughout the exercise and will therefore increase the intensity. Repeat for your designated number of reps and sets.

Reverse Crunch – Lie face up on a flat exercise bench, raise your arms and firmly grasp the edge of the bench above or alongside your head. With your knees bent (and locked in this position), contract your abs and lift your hips to bring your knees in toward your chest – hold for three seconds and lower your hips back to the bench. Repeat for your designated number of reps and sets.

Leg Lifts Are More Advanced Exercises For Lower Abs

First of all, the hanging leg raise is one of the most effective types of abs exercises. For this exercise, however, you’re going to need a lat pull-up bar to hang from. This bar is going to need to be high enough that you can hang from it with your arms fully extended (with your hands shoulder width apart) for long enough to do the exercise – without your feet touching the floor. Then, use your abdominal muscles (you will need to focus) to move your legs up until you are sitting in the air.

Important Notes For All Abs Exercises

• Do not over train your abs. Remember that success is always a result of many efforts. Never train you abs if they are still very sore from a previous workout. Mildly sore is okay.

• Keep your abs pulled in tight through each repetition to get the maximum benefit of each rep.

• Keep your range of motion between 30-45 degrees from the floor or bench (the horizontal position). This helps to minimize the hip-flexor area movement and makes sure that the abs get their full workout.

• Always keep your spine, neck, head and shoulder in alignment to prevent strains.

• When you do sit-ups and crunches, or any other exercise that requires your hands to be behind your head, never interlock your fingers as this causes you to pull on your head and will put your spine out of alignment – which may cause strains to your spine.

How to increase your vertical leap the most quickly and effective way?

I am a 5’6 volleyball player, and my vertical leap isn’t where I want it to be. Try-outs are in August, so I am looking for daily exercises that will help increase it by then.

before you start killing yourself with these crazy workouts you can got buy some ankle weights and jumping high enough to keep going for a minute ( preferably three quarters maximum vert. ) do that for the minute, do it for another minute, etc about four to five times. like one said do some blocking drills those help. The key is your CALVES thats your jumping ability so if you know a work out or two to work those out your set those are the ones i used but im about six foot and can grab rim

Introduction:

Precipitation is one form of hail. Hail in other sense means falling of balls or irregular lumps of ice (hailstones), 5 mm50 mm in diameter on average, with much larger reported from severe thunderstorms. Thunderstorms always produced by cumulonimbus. small hailstones are >5 mm in diameter. They are layered and can be irregular and clumped together.

Hail formation:

Hail forms when there is condensation nuclei such as dust, bugs, or ice crystals, when supercooled water freezes on contact. When clouds contain large numbers of supercooled water droplets, these ice nuclei grow quickly at the expense of the liquid droplets because the saturation vapor pressure over ice is slightly less than the saturation vapor pressure over water. When the hailstones grow large enough, latent heat released by further freezing may melt the outer shell of the hailstone. The growth that follows is called wet growth, which is usually more efficient because the liquid outer shell allows the stone to accrete other smaller hailstones in addition to supercooled droplets. These winds hold the rain and freeze it. As the process repeats, the hail grows increasingly larger
Ideal conditions for hail formation:
1. When there are strong thunderstorm clouds, particularly those with intense updrafts, high liquid water content, great vertical extent, large water droplets, and where a good portion of the cloud layer is below freezing (< 32 °F (0 °C)). The growth rate is maximized at about -13 °C (9 °F) then hail forms.
2. during early summer where surface temperatures are warm enough to promote the instability associated with strong thunderstorms, but the upper atmosphere is still cool enough to support ice. Accordingly, hail is actually less common in the tropics despite a much higher frequency of thunderstorms than in the midlatitudes because the atmosphere over the tropics tends to be warmer over a much greater depth. Then hail forms.
3. also when dry air into strong thunderstorms over continents can increase the frequency of hail by promoting evaporational cooling which lowers the freezing level of thunderstorm clouds giving hail a larger volume to grow in.

Deadly hailstorms:

1. several hundred pilgrims were killed by a massive hailstorm in Roopkund, Uttaranchal, India.[4].
2. $150 million in damage when softball-sized hail hit Calgary, Canada on July 28, 1981.
3. Softball-sized hail destroyed roofs and cars, causing $625 million in total damage in Denver, Colorado, USA.
4. a Labour Day thunderstorm caused $400 million worth of insurable damage in Calgary, Canada. Thirteen additional hailstorms between 1981 and 1998 caused an estimated $600 million in damage in the Calgary area alone.
5. Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, USA, $1.1 billion insured losses on May 5, 1995.
6. $1.6 billion. 20,000 properties and 40,000 vehicles were damaged during the storm with more than 25 aircraft damaged at Sydney Airport, one person was killed while fishing after getting struck by lightning and several other people were injured. It was the costliest hailstorm to hit an Australian populated city on April 14, 1999 in New South Wales, Australia.

Yeah if you play everyday you’re bound to do a lot of running and jumping and going for rebounds. You’ll naturally get more adept to the game and your vertical will naturally increase. If you want faster results though, you should use weights and do drills after you play. Jump when you’re tired because that’s when you get better, not when you’re fresh

The Best Exercises for Sexy Thighs and a Toned Butt

When searching for the best exercises for the thighs, you see TONS of ads promoting all of these fancy so-called inner-thigh blasters, thigh squeezers, thigh-toning machines, etc. Take my word when I say that you do NOT need any of these ridiculous “thigh-blasting” gadgets to tighten and tone-up your legs, butt, and hips for good.

As always, the best exercises for the thighs come in the form of free-weight or bodyweight exercises. You really need not look any further than various forms of exercises like lunges, squats, deadlifts, and step-ups to get those toned thighs that you want. In addition, there are plenty of variations of these basic exercises to choose from, so in reality, it is simply a waste of time messing with all of these inner-thigh gadgets and fancy thigh machines.

Here’s an example of one of the most effective thigh exercises that you can do. I’m sure you have done some variation of lunges before. There’s probably about 20 different versions that you can try and they all kick butt!

One of the best variations of lunges are walking lunges (and a couple ways to do these slightly different to change the emphasis). Instead of standing lunges where you either lunge forward or lunge backward for 1 step and come back, with walking lunges you keep traveling forward on each step for anywhere from 10-30 steps, and then you turn around and come back that same distance.

A couple ways to improve on these and get better results over time is to increase your distance each time or start carrying dumbbells to increase the resistance. Walking lunges done right are a real thigh-burner!

Here’s a couple tips to keep in mind when performing walking lunges:

1) Step far enough forward so that your front shin stays approximately vertical and your front thigh is approximately parallel to the floor at the bottom of the lunge.

2) Your leg behind you while lunging should have a bend in the knee at the bottom but your knee should come just short of touching the floor. Try not to touch the back knee to the ground during walking lunges.

3) Pause for a second at the top of each step before you lunge forward again for your next step.

Ok, now that you’ve mastered the basic walking lunge, let me give you a couple ideas for lunge variations that change the emphasis a little bit for working the outer thighs, inner thighs, and buttocks in a slightly different manner.

One variety is to step at an angle outward on each forward step. A second variation is to step at a slight angle inward on each forward step. The inward stepping version of the walking lunge is also called a cross-over lunge, and it really stretches out the buttocks and hips.

Go ahead and give these lunge variations a try and I guarantee that you will be firming up those thighs in no time. Whatever you do, just please say no to the fancy thigh machines and inner thigh squeezers, and use these more effective bodyweight exercises and free weight exercises, and you’ll be much better off for it.
